This is a vintage (
pre MS series)
Hohner Blues Harp that will make a great addition to your armada of harmonicas.
The plus in buying one of my refurbished harps is that you're not buying an unknown and potentially non playable ashtray full of rust, dust, dried saliva, and WORSE
.
It's the nature of wind instruments folks to be bacterial and contaminate hot beds! This reality often goes unconidered among newwr players. Cleanliness is definitely next to godliness in the case of ALL wind instruments!!
The Hohner Blues Harp was introduced in the 1960s. They are actually the same build as Marine Band model 1896 harmonicas, but with different shaped covers. This is what gives them a slightly different sound. The same held true with previous designs of Hohner harps such as the
early type Old Standby.

None of this type of Blues Harp have been made in decades
. Hohner shifted away from the 1960s style Blues Harp a few decades ago. Thus an old Bb is getting harder to find.
