I offer a playable harmonica that's not  a health risk! Some look better than others to be honest.
Cleanliness and playability are job #1 here.
The two aspects go hand in hand in a
big
way with harmonicas. Unfortunately the average used harp doesn't get cleaned well at all. Cleaning is often attempted through "soaking" which can provide a minimal cleaning at best. Soaking can cause much damage to the instrument, and trapped water can be a hotbed for bacteria that is often inhaled. Thus it's warned against in most "how to"  publications.
Condition:
This harmonica is in excellent shape all around with
50 + years of age
considered. It bears both good looks and tone. As a general statement, there may be minor physical imperfections such as scratches, scuffs etc  on plates and/or combs.It's to be expected due to age & use. The pictures are the description. Please review them and if you have questions or concerns please contact me.
I stress that the instrument is
refurbished;
not new
or astheticaly restored.
I make no implication of this being restored to be in " like new"  condition. Sometimes they are in fact that nice though. I price only in part by physical appearance. I give a reasonable with good photos. On request, more photos or information on an item is not a problem. I shop for the best all around condition in candidates for refurbishing.
Abour your health:
See the next to last picture. This is an example of what I commonly run into with the average harp I buy here just as you may. Used harps sell all day long cheaper than my price, but most are a healthrisk!!
They may contain things like Black Mold, rust, Asbestos laden dust, Nicotine and/or hard & soft saliva. Thats just to name a handful of possibilities.
You haven't a clue what you're
really
buying in any harp besides a  refurbished unit or a new one!!! I buy them and take the risks involved for you.
Reedwork includes:
Reed plates are straightened, draw plate sanded as required.
All reeds accurately centered so the reeds swing straight in the slots.
All reeds properly shaped for best response, then unit is checked for air leaks.
